The next day, we hopped on the train again, but this time only 10 minutes away from Nice to one of the most magical towns I have ever been to! Here, we spent time on the most beautiful beach, got gelato, walked all around the old town and into shops. This day was my heaven. Places like this that are so serene and peaceful yet so lively and vibrant are perfect in my eyes!
We got back from VilleFranche, took naps and got ready to go to dinner and explore! We read that Nice’s Old Town has cool nightlife, so we walked there. Everything was so quaint and the streets were definitely alive! It turned out to be such a cool night, because we met a whole French friend group who let us hangout with them. The two girls specifically were Ilona and Margaux!
The next day, we went back to VilleFranche sur Mer, but this time with our new friend Ilona! She tried teaching us some French (which is so hard) and we just hung out and chatted at the beach for hours in the same spot as the day before. It was good to know that a local approved of this beach. Turns out, her dad owns two restaurants in this town and her family has a boat docked in Éze!
This evening, we went to an awesome beach-side restaurant (thanks for finding it for us Dad!) and I got to try a niçoise salad which was amazing!! Best tuna I have ever had. After that, we walked around for a little and decided to go back to the hostel so we could get ready to check out a super popular/ famous club, which was also right on the beach! It was called High Club, and there was a 30 minute wait to get in. There was a sign at the entrance that said “People from all over the world come to High”, and that proved to be true! We met people literally from all over the world, and also a few other Americans.
